Are you an experienced Team Manager looking for your next challenge? Our client is looking for a skilled practitioner to join its service, on a temporary basis.

Position: Children Team Manager 
Location/Region: South West England
Pay Rate: In line with regional capped rates, for agency social work

Purpose:
To lead and manage a children's social work team, overseeing assessments, pathway decisions and safeguarding activity for children and families.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and support a team of social workers.
• Oversee short assessments, generally completed within 10–25 days.
• Oversee youth homelessness assessments for 16- and 17-year-olds. 
• Determine whether cases require Family Help, safeguarding intervention or closure. 
• Lead strategy discussions where required.
• Provide supervision and case direction. 
• Work alongside other team managers and front door services.  

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker, with 3 years direct LA experience.
• Previous Children's Team Manager experience. 
• Strong children's front door, assessment or safeguarding experience.
• Experience supervising and supporting social workers. 
•  Confident with threshold decisions and case direction.
