Salary - £40,482.00

Hours: Monday - Friday / 9am - 5pm 

Purpose of the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surveyor to manage and oversee external wall and fabric planned programmes, valued at £1 million or more, across Wiltshire and Hampshire. This role is ideal for a professional with a background in building surveying, who possesses strong technical knowledge and a problem-solving mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Expertise:
  
  • Evaluate building fabric and components to identify issues and ensure programme requirements are met.
  • Conduct in-depth surveys and diagnostics to resolve building defects effectively.
  • Provide technical guidance to colleagues and contractors.
• Specification Writing:
  
  • Prepare clear and comprehensive specifications for planned maintenance projects.
• Contract Management:
  
  • Oversee contracts, ensuring adherence to KPIs, health and safety regulations, and project timelines.
  • Organise and attend monthly meetings, process valuations, and manage contractor relationships.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
  
  • Ensure all works comply with current health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Programme Delivery:
  
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver maintenance and refurbishment programmes

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Surveying or related field.
• Strong understanding of building fabric, construction methods, and materials.
• Proven experience in contract management, budget oversight, and programme delivery.
• Health and safety knowledge within the building and construction industry.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to propose effective solutions.
• Proficiency in specification writing and report preparation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
• IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
• A valid driving license and the ability to travel within the designated area.
