SHC Coordinator – Deception Bay

Christ the King Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is seeking a full-time Coordinator. Join our dedicated team supporting families in our school, parish, and local community.

Details:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday (38 hours/week, split shifts)
• OSHC licensed for 45 children
• Programs include before school, after school, and vacation care

Christ the King OSHC has proudly served the Deception Bay community since 1996 and is part of St Eugene de Mazenod Parish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operation of our Before and After School Care and Vacation Care programs, ensuring a safe and enriching environment.
• Lead a dedicated team of educators, inspiring and supporting them to bring out their best.
• Develop and implement innovative, play-based programs that cater to our children's interests and needs.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and the school community, fostering a sense of belonging.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, maintaining a high level of care and safety.

Requirements of the Role:

• Diploma in Children Services or equivalent as per ACECQA guidelines.
• Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis.
• Consent to being the Nominated Supervisor.
• Strong understanding of Childcare legislation, including National Quality Framework, Standards, and My Time Our Place.
• Previous childcare service management experience.
• Child Protection training is required for this role.
• Proficient with childcare management software (Xplor preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership skills for team development.
