Job Title: Fabricator / Wing Assembly
Location: Tonsley, SA
Salary: $80,000 plus super
Work Set-up: Full-Time, On-Site
 
About the Role: 
We are seeking a Fabricator / Wing Assembly professional to join a high-performing team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for fabricating, forming, and assembling sheet metal components with precision and care. Working from detailed technical drawings, you will operate a variety of fabrication tools and machinery to deliver components to exacting specifications. 
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, a proactive approach, and an eagerness to learn new fabrication techniques.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and fabricate components from technical drawings, work orders, and job cards.
• Operate fabrication tools such as shears, rollers, riveters, and hand forming tools.
• Learn and operate machines such as press brake, waterjet cutter, and lathe, including setup and programming.
• Work with aluminium, stainless steel, and other alloys to tight tolerances.
• Perform drilling, deburring, edge preparation, and precision trimming.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, identifying issues and providing process feedback.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production and quality goals.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, perform self-inspections, and maintain a safe work environment.

 
Qualifications:
Essential:

• Previous experience as a Sheetmetal Fabricator in the Aerospace Industry
• Ability to read and interpret detailed technical drawings and specifications.
• Hands-on experience with sheet metal tools and forming processes.
• Willingness to learn operation and setup of machines such as press brake, waterjet cutter, and lathe.

Preferred:

• Experience in aircraft structures, jigs, tooling, or high-precision fabrication.
• Strong work ethic and pride in craftsmanship.
• Physically fit and capable of manual fabrication tasks.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and open to feedback.

Desirable Certifications:

• Trade qualification in fabrication or mechanical fields (not mandatory).
• Technical training or machine operation certifications (advantageous).
