Job Title: CNC Machinist / Toolmaker (All Levels)

About the Role:
We are seeking CNC Machinists and Toolmakers (Junior to Senior levels) to join a highly skilled production team.
This role will see you working across CNC machining and/or precision toolmaking, contributing to the manufacture, repair, and optimisation of high-quality components and tooling.
Whether you are an experienced machinist/toolmaker or a junior looking to grow your career, you will play a key role in delivering precision, efficiency, and first-time-right manufacturing outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes and milling machines – 3, 4, 5-axis)
- Perform manual machining and bench toolmaking tasks (lathes, mills, grinders, drills)
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Conduct dimensional inspections and quality checks
- Repair, maintain, and modify tools, dies, and fixtures
- Select and use appropriate measuring equipment
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and production standards
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate production and machine records
Qualifications: For CNC Machinists:
- Experience operating CNC lathes and/or milling machines
- Exposure to multi-axis machining (3, 4, or 5-axis advantageous)
- Strong understanding of machining tolerances and materials
For Toolmakers:
- Experience in bench toolmaking, die maintenance, and repairs
- Manual machining capability and tool finishing (e.g. polishing)
General Requirements:
- Trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering – Machining, Toolmaking, or equivalent) or apprenticeship completion
- Junior candidates and recent apprentices are encouraged to apply
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Safety-focused with a proactive and team-oriented mindset
- Good communication and reliability
