Who are we looking for?
We are currently looking for a highly experienced and disciplined Part 121 Chief Pilot to join our client's team in Papua New Guinea. If you’re a proactive, flexible and experienced professional with a drive to succeed, you’re the type of person we would like to welcome onboard.
The essential requirements
-
- Must hold or be eligible to hold an approved Part 121 Chief Pilot designation.
- Part 125 experience required
- Twin engine ie air taxi operator will be considered
- Experience operating smaller aircraft not heavier than 5700kg and less than 19 seats
- Minimum of 5 years' management and postholder experience
- Hold a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) or Air Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) relevant to the aircraft types operated.
- Strong understanding of CASA regulations (CASR, CAOs, and MOS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), and Fatigue Risk Management (FRMS).
- Demonstrated experience in leading flight operations, mentoring pilots, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational requirements.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and risk management frameworks.
- Strong capability in flight operations management, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency.
- Experience in emergency response planning and incident investigation.
- Ability to liaise effectively with regulatory authorities, company executives, clients, and operational teams.
- Hold a valid Class 1 Aviation Medical Certificate
- Must maintain a detailed and accurate pilot logbook as required under CASR regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure all operational records, flight logs, and training records are up to date and compliant.
