Role Description Maintenance Manager required to lead aircraft maintenance operations within a busy aviation service centre environment based at Essendon Fields Airport.
This role will oversee the planning, preparation and delivery of airframe, engine and avionics systems maintenance, along with line service functions including aircraft positioning, towing, washing and fuelling support.
The Maintenance Manager will lead a team of B1 and B2 Engineers, apprentices, maintenance planners and line service personnel, with responsibility for technical quality, safety, on-time delivery, labour utilisation, billing efficiency and overall shop performance.
The role will suit an experienced aviation maintenance leader who can manage competing priorities, support customer outcomes, drive continuous improvement and lead teams in a safety-first, compliance-focused environment.

Essential Requirements
Required Role Experience: Prior Maintenance Manager experience essential, ideally within an aftermarket repair, maintenance or service centre environment. General Aviation experience highly regarded.
Maintenance Qualification / Licence: Aviation maintenance qualification required. CASA licence preferred.
Work Rights: Must have full working rights in Australia.
Security / Access: Must be able to obtain and maintain required airport security access, where applicable.
Skills: Strong leadership, maintenance planning, cost control, technical quality oversight, customer service, communication and operational improvement skills.
Attitude: Safety-first, commercially aware, calm under pressure, proactive, collaborative and able to lead teams through changing priorities.
