About the role
We are seeking a legal administration assistant to work within our busy disputes team in providing generalist administrative support to a team of professional staff. You will work in a collaborative group with opportunities to further develop skills in legal administration.
The role can be undertaken on a part time basis (3 days a week).
This is a great opportunity to join this busy team who work on a range of interesting and varied work.
Day to day you can expect the role to include:
- Scanning and photocopying
- Printing and collating documents
- Processing invoices and expenses
- End of month billing
- Opening and closing files
- Archiving
- External work as required such as court filing and attending Barristers chambers
- General assistance with office support and administrative duties as required
The role will work closely with the teams existing experienced Legal Assistant who will provide training, mentoring and guidance.
About you Whilst this is a junior role prior experience in administration or office support would be beneficial Of importance is a can-do attitude and commitment to achieving client / firm outcomes.
You will also possess the following attributes / skills:
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication, including the ability to foster positive working relationships
- A keen eye for detail
- Active team member, completing tasks and assisting others to complete tasks
- A strong work ethic and enthusiasm for desired outcomes
- Strong sense of initiative
- Sound judgement, being able to discretion, and deal with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
