We are recruiting for a Mechanical Supervisor to join a leading UK building services provider on a high-profile, long-term contract in South West London. The client is known for delivering first-class facilities management services while offering a positive working environment, ongoing training, and genuine career progression for their engineering teams.
 
The site is a large, technically diverse estate, incorporating commercial areas, specialist facilities, and residential accommodation. It offers a varied workload and the opportunity to work on a wide range of plant and systems within a well-structured, well-supported contract.
 
The Role:
As Mechanical Supervisor, you will lead a team of 6 engineers while remaining actively involved in maintenance delivery. Responsibilities include:

• Day-to-day supervision, support, and coordination of the engineering team
• Carrying out and overseeing planned and reactive maintenance
• Working on a broad range of mechanical plant, including:
  • Calorifiers
  • Air Handling Units (AHUs)
  • Fan Coil Units (FCUs)
  • Chillers
  • Compressors
  • Pumps and associated pipework
• Acting as the main technical escalation point for mechanical issues
• Ensuring all works meet statutory compliance, safety, and client standards
• Supporting fault finding, breakdown response, and plant performance improvements

Requirements:

• Proven experience in mechanical building services maintenance
• Confident working on complex plant and systems
• Relevant mechanical qualifications - Minimum Level 2
• Hands-on, proactive leadership style
• Steam experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
