This is premier global law firm with an established Energy, Infrastructure, and Projects practice in Singapore.
 
Role Overview
We are seeking an ambitious, high-performing Senior Associate (5+ years PQE) with strong front-end EPC and project development expertise to join our practice in Singapore.
 
The ideal candidate will focus on non-contentious drafting, negotiating, and strategic structuring of complex EPC, EPCM, O&M, and related project construction and procurement contracts across various sectors, including renewable energy, power, LNG, infrastructure, and heavy industrial developments.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Lead the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of major front-end project agreements, including EPC contracts, EPCM agreements, O&M contracts, equipment supply agreements, and off-take/PPAs.
• Transaction Management: Drive project development processes from initial structuring and tender phase through to commercial and financial close, managing cross-border transactions across Asia-Pacific.
• Strategic Advisory: Advise sponsors, developers, and lenders on risk allocation, interface risks, procurement strategies, and contract administration during the project lifecycle.
• Client Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for premier multinational clients, building and maintaining strong direct relationships.
• Mentorship & Practice Growth: Mentor, supervise, and develop junior associates on the team, while actively contributing to business development initiatives.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) focused on front-end project development and EPC contracts within a leading international law firm or premier boutique practice.
• Jurisdictional Qualification: Qualified to practice in the UK (England & Wales), US, or Australia (or another equivalent common law jurisdiction).
• Technical Skills: Deep expertise in drafting and negotiating international standard form contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, JCT, LOGIC) and bespoke EPC/lender-side risk allocation structures.
• Regional Insight: Strong understanding of cross-border infrastructure and energy projects across Southeast Asia and the wider APAC region.
• Communication & Professionalism: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to lead client meetings and negotiation tables independently.
