Aviation Finance Senior Associate
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of cross-border aviation finance transactions, including asset-backed securitisations, sale-and-leasebacks, and tax-structured leases.
- Advise on compliance, creditor rights protection during repossession, and emerging regulatory requirements.
- Structure, draft, review, and negotiate documentation for multi-jurisdictional deals.
- Provide strategic regulatory and compliance advice, including on environmental, registration and insurance matters.
Requirements
- Singapore qualified lawyer with 6+ years PQE in aviation finance transactions.
- Experience in cross-border transactions.
- Practical experience with aviation financing structures and issues.
- Demonstrated drafting and negotiation skills.
- Ability to take the lead on projects in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple strategic and legal considerations.
- Up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation worldwide.
Preferred Attributes
- Qualification in the US, UK or other Common Law jurisdiction, or qualification in an additional Asian jurisdiction.
- Dispute resolution or bankruptcy experience
- Strong interpersonal skills; experience leading a team.
- Business development and client relationship management experience.
