The Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and highly organised Senior Administrator – Corporate Governance to support the coordination, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of their Work Health & Safety (WHS) and risk management frameworks.
This is a key senior support role that ensures WHS documentation, organisational risk registers, and corporate governance processes remain current, accurate, and actively embedded across the business. You will work closely with operational teams, Human Resources, and senior leadership to drive follow‑up actions, maintain compliance visibility, and strengthen safety and risk practices in day‑to‑day operations.
Rather than designing systems or enforcing compliance, this role focuses on coordination, assurance, documentation control, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring frameworks are effectively applied in practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining and overseeing WHS documentation including Safety Management Systems (SMS), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), and associated registers
- Coordinating with operational teams to ensure WHS documentation is regularly reviewed, updated, and accessible
- Working with Human Resources to ensure safety documentation is communicated and available to staff
- Monitoring WHS compliance requirements and escalating risks or gaps through established governance channels
- Supporting the consolidation, accuracy, and ongoing maintenance of organisational risk registers
- Assisting operational teams to integrate risk management into daily decision‑making and processes
- Coordinating Risk Management Committee meetings, including agendas, papers, and minutes
- Tracking and following up actions arising from WHS and risk forums to ensure timely completion
- Supporting WHS Q&A sessions and documenting outcomes with operational teams and consultants
- Supporting senior leadership (CEO, CFO, Group Finance Manager) with corporate governance activities as required
- Providing reception relief support on a rotating or ad hoc basis when required
This is a varied and influential role suited to someone who enjoys structure, coordination, and working across multiple stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
What You Need To succeed in this role, you will bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work confidently across teams and senior leadership.
Key requirements include:
- Experience in a senior administration, WHS support, risk coordination, or corporate governance role
- Sound understanding of WHS and/or risk management principles and governance processes
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong written communication skills, including minute‑taking and report preparation
- High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation management
- Confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office, document management systems, reporting tools)
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances (if applicable)
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency required
