A significant ERP transformation is about to commence within a Federal Government Department and the team is based in Canberra. This multi-year program will deliver a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform, replacing a legacy SAP ECC environment and modernising core business functions across Finance, HR, Procurement, and Travel & Expense.

To support this initiative, we are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead program delivery and establish strong governance, planning, and execution practices from day one.

About the Role
This position is central to the successful mobilisation and delivery of a large-scale ERP program. Working closely with senior leadership, delivery partners, and cross-functional teams, you will ensure the program is well-coordinated, transparent, and aligned to strategic outcomes.

You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining an integrated delivery schedule, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring that program governance and reporting standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate end-to-end program delivery activities across multiple workstreams
• Develop and manage core program artefacts, including roadmap, integrated plan, budget, risks, and dependencies
• Oversee day-to-day delivery to ensure alignment with milestones and strategic objectives
• Partner with senior stakeholders, including the Senior Responsible Officer (SRO), Program Board, and system integrator
• Manage vendor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met across scope, deliverables, and governance
• Identify, assess, and actively manage risks, issues, and interdependencies across the program
• Drive collaboration across functional teams to ensure an integrated and cohesive solution
• Provide regular reporting and insights to governance forums and senior leadership
• Lead program closure activities, including lessons learned and transition to operations

About the Program
The organisation is finalising procurement of a new ERP platform, with delivery expected to commence shortly. The program will span several years and involve multiple vendors, stakeholders, and business units.

About You
You bring a structured and disciplined approach to program delivery, with the ability to operate confidently in complex, high-stakes environments.
Your experience includes:

• Leading large-scale ERP implementations across full program lifecycles
• Managing multi-vendor environments and complex stakeholder landscapes
• Delivering integrated program plans with strong governance and reporting frameworks
• Proactively identifying and resolving risks, issues, and delivery challenges
• Working closely with senior executives and governance boards

Relevant certifications such as PRINCE2 or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) are highly regarded.
