The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Associate with a genuine interest in mental health who is looking to build a long-term career in psychiatry. You will work closely with experienced psychiatrists, gaining valuable exposure to the assessment, management, and ongoing care of patients with a wide range of psychiatric conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist psychiatrists with patient assessments and clinical management.
- Conduct patient consultations, history taking, and mental status examinations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans under specialist supervision.
- Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic patient care.
- Participate in patient education and support initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with HPCSA standards and clinical governance requirements.
Requirements - Qualified Clinical Associate (BCMP or equivalent).
- Registered with the HPCSA as a Clinical Associate.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in psychiatry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, patient-centred approach to care.
