Job Objective:
To develop and activate a portfolio of premium alcoholic beverage brands, including Luc Belaire, Bumbu Rum, and any other brands that may be launched in Angola.
Main Responsibilities:
Develop Brand Portfolio - 40% Luc Belaire, Bumbu Rum, and any other relevant brands.
Proactively develop the sales of the brands in your region in the ON/OFF Trade and Urban Market, ensuring consumer relationships are not just established but maintained through a high level of service. This includes visiting current and potential accounts - bars, restaurants, hotels, OFF Trade outlets, and nightclubs. Significant time in nightlife-type accounts during nights and evenings to drive sales and build relationships will be required.
KPI:
Visit a minimum of 10 ON and 15 OFF Trade venues per week based on a set call list
Visit a minimum of 10 different nightlife-type venues per month
Conduct a minimum of 20 training sessions per quarter targeting the top 20 outlets
Assist distributors in developing the brands in the ON Trade by actively leading brand sales activations.
KPI:
Luc Belaire and Bumbu listed and visible in the agreed top 20 ON trade venues in your region
Host a minimum of 12 nightclub/lounge sales activations, minimum 18 bottles sold per event, every 6-month period
Achieve Bumbu cocktail and tot listings in 15 ON trade venues per month
Motivate, train, and educate key customers in the ON, OFF Trade, and distributor teams to ensure brand availability, visibility, and activation.
KPI:
Work closely with distributor teams and OFF Trade sampling agencies for weekly activities
Create a core sampling team of 4 staff to activate the brands in the ON Trade
Recruit and maintain good relationships with 10 trade militants (bar/club owners, head bartenders)
Manage activation responsibilities for events, including organization, coordination, and setup, requiring a very hands-on approach.
KPI:
Ensure the brands are represented according to brand guidelines
Represent and promote the brands at all touchpoints (teams, distributors, customers, consumers, press).
Sales Function - 55%
Work directly with the local sales team, ensuring they are informed of opportunities and aware of brand developments and special edition promo packs. Proactively source new outlets in ON, OFF Trade, and Urban markets, working within distributor sales guidelines and offers.
KPI:
Hit weekly, monthly, and annual volume sales targets
Reporting - 5%
Build monthly reports providing consumer and trade insights, competitive activity, market trends, and results of brand activations.
KPI:
Complete and submit monthly reports by the 5th of every month
Profile:
Motivated, self-driven, personable, presentable, and articulate with the ability to communicate at all levels from bartender to Managing Director
Fluent in English and Portuguese
Experience as Brand Ambassador, Sales Representative, or Trade Marketer is a plus
Good planning, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
Ability to work autonomously, self-motivated, and takes initiative, while also collaborating well within a small team
Excellent presenter with controlled communication
Proven track record in a stand-alone role
Experience with retailers and distributors within Angola is essential; established relationships in ON and OFF Trade are a bonus
Willing to travel extensively as required
