Role Summary
The Accounts Executive is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end and year-end closings, and coordinating internal and external audits. This role requires practical experience in accounting operations, reconciliations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities1. Accounting & Bookkeeping
Maintain books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Record and verify daily accounting transactions, including journal entries.
Prepare and post accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
2. Month-End & Year-End Closing
Handle monthly closing activities independently within defined timelines.
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations.
Analyze variances and prepare supporting schedules for management review.
Assist in preparation of monthly MIS and financial reports.
3. Audit & Compliance
Support internal, statutory, and tax audits.
Prepare audit schedules and respond to auditor queries.
Ensure documentation and records are complete and audit-ready.
Assist in implementing audit recommendations.
4. Accounts Payable & Receivable
Monitor vendor payments and customer receivables.
Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and follow-ups.
Reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
5. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
Assist in preparation and filing of VAT/GST, TDS/Withholding Tax returns.
Coordinate with tax consultants and ensure statutory deadlines are met.
Maintain compliance with local laws and regulations.
