We're looking for a Project Engineer to join our Ground Engineering team, supporting the delivery of specialist geotechnical projects across infrastructure and mining sectors. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with operational teams to drive safe, high-quality and commercially successful project outcomes.
This position can be based on-site, with regular travel depending on project requirements.
 
About the role
 
As a Project Engineer, you'll be responsible for planning, coordinating and overseeing project delivery from start to finish. You'll work alongside experienced project teams, supporting both the technical and commercial aspects of our projects while ensuring safety, quality and environmental standards are maintained.
 
Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate project delivery to achieve technical, commercial and program objectives.
• Oversee site activities to ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with project specifications.
• Prepare project documentation including methodologies, programs, quality plans, SWMS and ITPs.
• Manage procurement activities, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project costs, progress claims, variations and project performance.
• Identify project risks and implement practical solutions.
• Support estimating activities, tender submissions and quantity take-offs.
• Maintain accurate project records and reporting.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

About you
 
You'll ideally have:

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• 3-5+ years' experience delivering civil construction or ground engineering projects.
• Experience working on geotechnical construction, slope stabilisation, rockfall protection, soil nailing, grouting, ground anchors or similar specialist works.
• Strong commercial awareness and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Willingness to travel and work on project sites across Australia as required.
