About the Role

As Superintendent – Geohazard Mitigation, you'll lead the delivery of specialist geohazard and geotechnical works across Colorado and the wider region. Working closely with Project Managers and Site Supervisors, you'll oversee the day-to-day planning of crews and equipment, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, productivity, client relationships, project progress, and budget performance.
You'll support projects including slope stabilization, rockfall mitigation, drilling, scaling, ground support, and difficult-access works.
Your key responsibilities:
- Partner with Project Managers during pre-construction to understand scope, schedule, methodology, and budget
- Lead and support Site Supervisors and field crews to ensure safe and efficient project delivery
- Plan and coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and site logistics
- Communicate daily with Site Supervisors, Lead Foremen, and Project Managers to keep work on track
- Review upcoming works, identifying changes, restrictions, and documentation requirements
- Ensure toolbox talks, tickets, daily logs, and project documentation are completed accurately
- Conduct HSE inspections across job sites, crews, subcontractors, and equipment
- Oversee equipment condition, repair scheduling, and overall fleet efficiency
- Monitor project progress, productivity, costs, schedules, and budget performance
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and site leadership
About You You're a proven people leader from the
geohazard, geotechnical, mining, heavy civil, or specialty construction industry who thrives in safety-critical and technically challenging environments.
- Demonstrated experience in geohazard, geotechnical, mining, heavy civil, or specialty construction
- Experience with slope stabilization, rockfall mitigation, drilling, scaling, or ground support highly regarded
- Proven leadership experience as a Superintendent, or a strong Supervisor/General Foreman ready to step up
- Strong planning, scheduling, and field coordination capability
- Excellent client and stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of productivity, cost control, and budget tracking
- Safety-focused, practical leadership style
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required
