About the role
 
Geovert is a global leader in specialist geotechnical and ground engineering solutions, delivering innovative services to the mining industry across Australia, New Zealand and North America.

As our North American business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Project Manager - Mining to provide leadership across our mining projects and help drive the next stage of growth in the region.

This is not a site-based role. You'll oversee project delivery across North America, working closely with our Site Supervisors and Operations team while remaining connected to field operations through regular site visits.

Reporting to the Director of Mining, you'll take ownership of project performance, client relationships, commercial outcomes and the successful delivery of multiple mining projects.
 
In this role, you'll:

• Provide leadership and strategic direction across mining projects.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting and overall financial performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
• Support tender preparation, project planning and mobilisation.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure projects meet Geovert's safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Coach and support Site Supervisors to achieve project objectives.
• Conduct regular site visits to mentor teams, review progress and strengthen client relationships.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing projects and secure future work.

About you
 
You're an experienced mining professional who enjoys working with people just as much as solving technical and operational challenges.
You'll ideally bring:

• A degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience within the mining industry.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A demonstrated ability to build long-term client relationships.
• A proactive approach to safety leadership.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout North America.

Experience in ground support, rope access, drilling, slope stability or geotechnical construction would be highly regarded, but isn't essential.
