About the role
Geovert is continuing to grow globally, and we're looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead and oversee our finance function across Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Canada.
This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for financial planning, reporting, governance, treasury management and financial compliance across multiple international entities. You'll also play an important role in driving financial systems and process improvements while providing financial analysis, advice and business partnering to senior management.
Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you'll help ensure the business has the financial insight, controls and processes required to support strong operational performance and continued growth.
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Leading the day-to-day financial operations across multiple international business entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with corporate policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Developing, implementing and continuously improving financial policies, accounting procedures and internal control frameworks to strengthen governance and operational efficiency.
- Preparing annual budgets, rolling forecasts and long-term financial plans to support business strategy and operational objectives.
- Monitoring organisational financial performance by analysing monthly results, preparing variance analysis and providing recommendations to senior management.
- Preparing and presenting monthly management reports, key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial analysis to support executive decision-making.
- Monitoring cash flow, working capital and liquidity requirements to ensure sufficient funding for ongoing operations and future growth.
- Managing treasury activities, including banking relationships, payment approvals and cash management across multiple jurisdictions.
- Reviewing statutory financial statements and ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, company policies and relevant local regulatory requirements.
- ·Coordinating annual external audits and acting as the primary liaison between Geovert, external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely completion of statutory reporting obligations.
- Supporting tax compliance across Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States in collaboration with external tax advisors.
- Identifying opportunities to improve financial systems, reporting processes and controls to support greater efficiency and visibility across the business.
- Providing financial analysis, commercial advice and business partnering to senior management to support strategic decision-making, operational performance and organisational growth.
About you
- You're an experienced finance professional who enjoys combining strong technical finance capability with commercial thinking and business partnering. You're comfortable working across multiple entities and jurisdictions and can balance day-to-day financial management with longer-term planning and continuous improvement.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, project-driven environment and can build strong relationships with both finance and operational stakeholders.
Ideally, you'll bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline.
- CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
- Strong experience across financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Experience managing or supporting multiple entities, ideally across different countries or jurisdictions.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, financial governance and internal controls.
- Experience managing cash flow, working capital and treasury activities.
- Experience coordinating external audits and working closely with auditors, tax advisors and other external stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to interpret financial information and provide clear, practical recommendations to senior management.
- Strong systems capability and an interest in improving financial processes, controls and reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with accounting and financial reporting systems.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines within a growing international business.
- Experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure, mining or another project-based environment would be highly regarded.
