Job Description:
Seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Architect / SOC Technical Lead for a three-year project in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
This individual will lead and support the architecture, design, integration, and technical implementation of a Security Operations Center (SOC) and supporting cybersecurity systems. The ideal candidate combines strong architecture experience with hands-on expertise in security monitoring, detection engineering, and systems integration.
Candidates based in the United States, Argentina, South America, or elsewhere are welcome, provided they can work on-site in Buenos Aires for the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support technical architecture and SOC design.
- Translate operational needs into technical requirements and implementation plans.
- Integrate existing and planned systems into a cohesive security architecture.
- Design telemetry collection, sensor placement, and security data flows.
- Design and implement Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR), and related security capabilities.
- Develop and refine detection use cases, rules, and automated response workflows.
- Ensure interoperability across security tools, platforms, and infrastructure.
- Support technical implementation, testing, and validation.
- Maintain architecture and integration documentation.
- Adapt the architecture as the operating environment and requirements evolve.
- Collaborate with local stakeholders and technical teams in Spanish.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent Spanish, including the ability to discuss technical requirements and lead architecture discussions.
- Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity architecture and SOC design or implementation.
- Strong experience with SIEM/SOAR technologies, detection engineering, and security monitoring.
- Experience designing telemetry and sensor architectures.
- Proven ability to integrate existing and new systems and resolve interoperability challenges.
- Experience developing technical requirements and validating implemented solutions.
- Strong technical leadership, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Buenos Aires for the three-year engagement.
