We’re representing a privately owned logistics organisation that supplies and manages reusable pallets across Australia and New Zealand. The business operates a network of industrial, depot-based sites, supported by a centralised head office in Melbourne. The culture is practical, down to earth and operationally focused.
What you’ll do
Hold end-to-end responsibility for HR across Australia and New Zealand, supporting an industrial, depot-based workforce
Manage employee relations and industrial relations matters (approximately 40% of the role), including case management and EBA interpretation
Award interpretation, specifically the Timber Award
Provide practical, hands-on support to depot managers and senior leaders across the business
Oversee payroll governance and accuracy, working closely with the in-house payroll specialist
Support recruitment activity as required.
Manage salary and pay reviews, WorkCover and workers’ compensation claims, and involvement in health and safety matters.
Support the interpretation and rollout of employee engagement survey outputs provided by the corporate team
Who you are
An experienced HR generalist capable of managing a full A–Z HR remit
Strong in ER and IR, with hands-on experience interpreting EBAs and managing industrial workforces
Experienced in logistics, manufacturing, transport, warehousing or similar industrial environments, particularly depot-based or unionised settings
Comfort working with low maturity systems and processes
Confident working independently
Numerically confident, detail-oriented and pragmatic in approach
Experienced in payroll oversight and governance
