What’s the Brief?
This is a rare opportunity to step into a Workplace Relations Specialist role within a large, complex and highly unionised environment during a significant period of change. A major focus of this role is enterprise agreement implementation. You’ll play a hands-on role translating newly approved agreements into operational reality - working closely with payroll, systems and service teams to ensure clauses are interpreted correctly and embedded smoothly across the business.
Alongside EA implementation, you’ll support complex ER/IR matters, Fair Work Commission activity and strategic industrial relations advice during a period of organisational change and industrial activity. This is a true advisory role, focused on risk mitigation, critical thinking and high-impact work – not high-volume case management.
Is This Your Perfect Match?
This role will suit someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, and who gets genuine satisfaction from translating enterprise agreements into practical, workable outcomes. You’re likely already working in ER/IR within a complex, unionised environment and are comfortable partnering with payroll, systems and operational teams to embed change properly, not just interpret clauses on paper. You enjoy navigating unions and senior stakeholders, stay calm under pressure, and don’t shy away from ambiguity or competing priorities.
You’re motivated by high-impact work and want to continue deepening your strategic IR capability while staying close to complex ER matters. You value low-ego leadership, collaboration and being part of a capable, supportive team where your thinking and judgement are trusted.
Your Role in Action
You’ll play a key role in ensuring enterprise agreements are implemented accurately and consistently, while also contributing to complex ER/IR outcomes across the organisation.
Your impact will include:
- Leading end-to-end enterprise agreement implementation across multiple workforce groups
- Acting as a subject matter expert for EA interpretation and escalations
- Supporting Fair Work Commission matters and strategic IR activity
- Managing a small number of high-risk, complex ER matters
- Advising Business Partners on complex ER and EA-related issues
- Building strong, constructive relationships with unions and senior stakeholders
What You Bring to the Table
- ER/IR experience in complex, unionised environments
- Enterprise agreement interpretation and implementation experience
- Fair Work Commission exposure
- Strong strategic and critical thinking capability
- Calm, adaptable and collaborative working style
- Genuine interest and passion for ER/IR.
