Where you'll be working You'll be joining a fast-paced People & Culture team that keeps a large retail network running smoothly. It’s busy, hands-on, and never dull. You’ll work with leaders who coach, not micromanage, and who are all about helping you grow into the next stage of your career.
We’re big on learning by doing - you’ll get real exposure, real responsibility, and the support to take your next step towards a Business Partner role. Flexible hybrid setup, approachable leaders, and a team that knows how to have a laugh while getting things done.
Who are you? You’re switched on, people-focused, and ready to take the next step in your HR career. You bring a balance of warmth and practicality - someone who can handle the admin but also sees the bigger picture. You might be in a high-volume HR admin or advisor role now and looking for more ER exposure and growth opportunities.
You’re not afraid of getting into the detail - logging incidents, responding to queries, and keeping processes running - but you’re also curious, ambitious, and want to keep developing. If you’ve got experience in retail or public health, even better - you’ll feel right at home here.
Day to day - Manage a high volume of HR queries, from payroll and policy to parental leave and workplace injuries.
- Log and track personal injury reports - everything from minor incidents to more serious cases - and keep communication clear and timely.
- Provide practical advice to store teams and leaders, helping them work through people issues confidently.
- Support HR Managers and BPs with low-level case work like witness interviews and documentation.
- Help keep our systems, trackers, and comms up to date - Monday is usually the busiest for reporting and follow-ups.
- Contribute to team projects and improvements while learning the ropes for future BP opportunities.
What's in your toolkit? - Experience in HR advisory or a similar role where you’ve handled a mix of admin and employee queries.
- Strong organisational skills - you can juggle competing priorities and still keep calm under pressure.
- Great written and verbal communication - clear, approachable, and professional.
- A genuine interest in developing your ER and business partnering skills.
