Assistant Farm Manager (2IC) - Goondiwindi, QLD
An opportunity has become available for a motivated and experienced candidate to join a well-run, family-owned operation in the Goondiwindi district. Working closely with the Farm Manager, this is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in day-to-day operations, irrigation management, and keeping the farm running efficiently.
This would suit someone looking to step up, take on more responsibility, and grow within a solid business.
The Role
- Oversee irrigation and day-to-day farm operations
- Coordinate irrigation scheduling for optimal efficiency
- Work closely with on-farm contractors to ensure smooth workflow
- Assist with staff supervision and support team development
- Maintain machinery operations, servicing schedules, and general upkeep
- Uphold WHS standards and assist with staff training
- Contribute to reporting and communication with the Farm Manager
About You - Minimum 2 years' experience in irrigated cropping
- Strong work ethic with a hands-on approach
- Good with people and able to take direction
- Shows initiative and is open to learning and stepping up
- Experience with GreenStar
- Driver's licence, reliable and able to work independently
- Fit and able to carry out the physical requirements of the role
