Due to expansion, our client is seeking a Feedlot Administrator / Cattle Processing/ Pen Rider to join their team on a family owned and operated feedlot, based outside of Dalby, Queensland.
 
This role offers a great mix of 80% administration with the opportunity for hands-on livestock work, ideal for someone who understands feedlot systems and enjoys being involved both in the office and in the yards.
 
About the Role
The position combines feedlot administration with cattle processing and some pen riding duties which will suit someone confident in managing feedlot records while still happy to be out with the cattle when required.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Feedlot administration using FY3000 & Stockaid (must be confident in all aspects)
• Crush side record keeping
• Weighbridge operations and processing cattle movements
• Managing ins and outs, records and documentation
• Maintaining biosecurity procedures
• Supporting the feedlot team where required
• Assisting with pen riding duties (not essential)

Position Details

• 7am - 4pm weekdays
• 5 days per week with a rotating weekend roster to call bunks
• Combination of office work and occasional pen riding
• Single accommodation available

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar feedlot administration role
• Strong working knowledge of FY3000 & Stockaid
• Good stock sense
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work within a team in a busy family operation

This role would suit someone who enjoys being part of a close-knit team and is comfortable stepping between the office and the yards when needed.
