Live-In or Live-Out Nanny (Monday-Thursday) — Greenwich
A warm, family-oriented household in Greenwich is seeking a professional, confident nanny to support two young children—a toddler and a 7-month-old. This Monday-Thursday role can be structured as live-out or "live-in during shift" (ideally staying Monday-Wednesday nights and returning to your own home Thursday-Sunday). The family would love a nanny who feels like a true extension of the parents—focused on social-emotional development, manners, milestones, and creating a calm, loving, well-run daily rhythm.
This home values warmth, healthy boundaries, and teamwork. The family spends time with extended family and household staff during holidays and travel, so a candidate who is respectful, collaborative, and comfortable in fully staffed environments will thrive here.
Schedule
- Monday-Thursday
- Typical hours: 8:00 AM-7:00 PM
- Evening flexibility: Occasional help monitoring while parents are out (parents handle overnight monitor for standard evenings)
Live-In Option
This role can be live-out or
live-in during shift, with preferred overnights on
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, then off beginning Thursday night.
Key Responsibilities

- Keep children's spaces tidy and organized; handle child-related organization projects
- Drive locally for child-related outings and activities
Household Notes

- Parents appreciate a collaborative "tag-team" dynamic with healthy boundaries and strong communication
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Professional, warm, and engaging with a confident, calm presence
- Strong toddler boundary-setting skills (firm, kind, consistent)
- Experience managing two young children with different schedules and needs
- Proactive self-starter who anticipates needs without constant direction
- Team player who works smoothly alongside household staff and extended family
- Clear communicator who keeps parents informed without micromanagement
- Safe, capable driver (important in Greenwich)
- College education preferred (not required)
- Vaccinations required
- Open to a reasonable commute; family prefers a candidate with their own community and support system for long-term success
Travel
Primarily domestic travel, typically including:
- Two weeks of holiday travel

- August in the Hamptons (nanny typically travels/stays with the family during working days; transportation support provided, such as a car arranged back and forth)
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: On the books, broken down, hourly with overtime calculation.
- Estimated annual range: Approximately $115,000-$130,000 total package, depending on final structure and benefits
- Benefits include:
- Major paid holidays
- Two weeks paid vacation
- Sick/personal time
- Health insurance support via a monthly stipend
Overall Impressions
This is a lovely opportunity for a career nanny who enjoys a warm, engaged family, appreciates a clear schedule, and takes pride in running a thoughtful, child-centered day. The family is kind, realistic, and values longevity—while also seeking excellence: professionalism, initiative, and a true team-player spirit (especially when extended family and household staff are in the mix). A confident, emotionally intelligent nanny who can manage both toddler and baby rhythms while keeping the home calm and connected will shine here.
