Long-time Modern Minders family (we LOVE LOVE LOVE this family) is awarm, high-profile family relocating to the Studio City/Sherman Oaks area, seeking a grounded, emotionally intelligent Nanny / Family Assistant to support their five-year-old and infant (both children occasionally). The ideal candidate will bring a calming presence, strong professional boundaries, and the ability to seamlessly balance playful engagement with structure and regulation.
This role is especially well-suited to a nanny who understands the nuances of supporting a bright, verbal, emotionally expressive five-year-old while also assisting with infant care and light family management responsibilities. Must love dogs.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare

• Provide attentive care for a five-year-old and infant (primary focus may shift depending on parental availability).
• Support emotional regulation using calm, grounding techniques.
• Encourage flexibility in play and social interactions.
• Create developmentally appropriate activities including sensory play, art, outdoor time, and creative engagement.
• Maintain a gentle but consistent routine that supports predictability and structure.
• Assist with educational support or homeschooling-style activities if needed.
• Coordinate smoothly between caring for baby and older child.

Household / Family Assistant Duties

• Assist with light household organization related to the children.
• Support family routines and transitions.
• Provide occasional house-manager style assistance (organization, light coordinating, keeping children's spaces orderly).
• Maintain professionalism and discretion at all times.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The family is seeking someone who is:

• Calm, grounded, and energetically peaceful.
• Playful and creative, but not overstimulating.
• Emotionally intelligent and attuned.
• Experienced with both infants and early elementary-aged children.
• Comfortable working in a high-profile environment with discretion.
• Experience supporting a stay-at-home parent who is very involved and is OK with a tag teaming environment, as one parent is out of the home often.
• Able to maintain clear professional boundaries while still being warm and loving.
• Proactive about structure and routine without being rigid.
• Receptive to feedback and collaborative in communication.
• Naturally respectful of household space and privacy.

Schedule & Timing

• Anticipated start: Late March until Nov 1 with the option to extend through post season
• Seasonal role aligned with professional baseball season (with potential for renewal)
• Full-time hours; flexibility required based on family needs
• Studio City / Sherman Oaks area

Compensation: 

• $35- $40 an hour with a guarantee of 40 hours a week
