The Company
Our client is key part of a major global investment platform with numerous large-scale portfolios across Australia, backed by direct institutional capital. With extensive acquisition activity, strategic portfolio development and large mandate, the business is seeking a Commercial Analyst to strengthen its commercial, financial and transactional capability.

The Role
This role reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and will support live transactions, investment evaluation and business performance analysis, deliver data-driven commercial insights and partner closely with senior leadership. It is a high-visibility, hands-on position suited to top-tier analytical talent looking to drive impact across a national operating portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial and analytical models to support pricing, forecasting, acquisitions and investment decisions;
• Support M&A activity across business cases, financial evaluation, due diligence and scenario modelling;
• Prepare board and executive-level reporting with clear insights, recommendations and strategic analysis;
• Conduct profitability, margin and cost analysis to identify commercial improvement opportunities;
• Undertake market, competitor and trend analysis to inform strategy and investment decision-making;
• Provide consulting-style advisory support on transformation, efficiency and commercial optimisation initiatives.

Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will have 3-6+ years' experience in high-performance commercial analysis environment including consulting, investment banking, corporate finance. Postgraduate qualifications (CA, CFA, MBA) are highly regarded. They will also bring:

• Strong financial modelling and analytical capability;
• Structured, consulting-style problem-solving and communication skills;
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability;
• Experience with BI tools or ERP systems (e.g., Power BI, SAP) is advantageous.
