Our Client
A well-established free-range egg producer in northern New South Wales is seeking an experienced livestock manager to take responsibility for a large-scale free-range egg farm near Casino in the Northern Rivers region of NSW. Overall, the business has approximately 400,000 hens across six sheds.

The Role
Reporting to the overall Farm Manager, this is an excellent opportunity to manage one of the 110,000-layer farms. You will oversee daily livestock husbandry, staff supervision and production performance while ensuring strict welfare and biosecurity standards are maintained. The farm operates with an experienced 2IC and a stable local crew.

Requirements
Candidates will ideally have experience in egg production, but applicants with experience in broiler production, poultry breeding, or other intensive livestock sectors, such as pigs, will also be considered. Key requirements include:

• Practical livestock husbandry experience, egg production preferred
• Previous farm or livestock team leadership
• Strong focus on animal welfare and production performance
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate within strict biosecurity protocols

Due to biosecurity requirements, applicants must not keep poultry, birds or pigs at home.

Remuneration & Location
The farm is located approximately 9 km from Casino in the Northern Rivers region of NSW. An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate and will include a three-bedroom on-farm accommodation, utilities, and the use of a vehicle.
