Are you a commercial real estate paralegal?    Would you like to work with a top boutique law firm in Bethesda, Maryland?    If so, R & W Group has a great new opportunity!  One of our favorite law firm clients is looking for a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal.
 
In this role, you would assist attorneys in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions/sales, financing, development, construction, leasing and corporate governance matters.  In particular, you would be responsible for:
 

• Reviewing commercial real estate title and survey condition and resolving title and survey matters - working toward acceptable final title insurance policies and closing. 
• Monitoring closings of acquisition/sale, development, lease and financing transactions while reviewing due diligence documentation and preparing closing documents (including preparation of property descriptions and financing statements).
• Filing formation and related documents and obtaining status certificates for corporate entities from various state and federal agencies. 

 
You must be able to work directly with clients and with multiple lawyers on several projects at the same time.  In performing the responsibilities of the position, you would need to:
 

• Independently monitor and meet project deadlines,
• Perform all assignments in strict compliance with ethical guidelines governing the practice of law,
• Possess impeccable attention to detail and analytical skills,
• Operate as a self-starter with strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills, and
• Use initiative and discretion in accomplishing routine assignments with minimum supervision.

 
Requirements:

• BA or AA degree with a Paralegal Certificate
• Five plus (5+) years of relevant experience with commercial real estate transactions, specifically title and survey; law firm or title company experience preferred; or any combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
• Strong organizational and writing skills
• Full-time on-site presence is required, and no remote role is available.
