About the role
Do you want to help make the online world safer by helping recruit and train the next generation of cyber security professionals? As a Consultant in our CyberCX Academy team, you’ll support people take their first steps into a career in cyber security.
In the role, you will contribute to the design, execution, and development of the CyberCX Academy including activities such as recruitment, project coordination, marketing, training and workforce development.

Duties
You’ll get hands-on experience delivering an industry-leading program of work including:
- Recruitment and onboarding: Delivering the Academy’s recruitment activities from communicating with candidates to screening applications, coordinating assessments and panel interviews, to onboarding new Associates and crafting orientation schedules that set them up for success.
- Learning Management System (LMS): Administering the CyberCX Academy’s LMS, including onboarding participants, updating course sites, responding to student inquiries and providing technical assistance for CyberCX’s course facilitators.
- Project Coordination: Supporting diverse Academy projects and the Cyber5050 program by engaging in research, synthesising information, and providing solutions that create meaningful results.
- Collaborating with experts: Engaging with subject matter experts to develop cyber security workforce development initiatives, succession planning and training resources to grow and foster the next generation of cyber security professionals.
- Customer outcomes: Contributing to the development of high-quality proposals, reports, and presentations to achieve client objectives.
Skills & experience We’re looking for someone who shares our enthusiasm for people, passion for identifying and fostering potential, and is driven by the mission to protect our communities from cyber threats. You may be a great fit if you:
- Are excited about supporting people to launch their careers in cyber security and love being part of a people-focused, career-building capability.
- Bring 1–2 years of experience in any (or a combination) of the following areas: human resources, recruitment, program/project coordination, workforce talent development, or similar.
- Have education and/or industry certifications in Human Resources, Recruitment, Business Administration, Commerce, Project Coordination, Cyber Security, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Are proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel in particular).
- Are a strong, emotionally intelligent communicator who thrives on collaborating with people and building positive relationships.
- Have well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You are confident proactively managing competing deadlines and shifting priorities.
