About the Role
Reporting into the Chief Partnership Officer for ANZ Partnerships, the Head of Airline Supplier Partnerships leads the organisation’s ANZ airline partnership strategy and manages executive-level relationships with airline partners across domestic and international markets. The role ensures the company maximises commercial value, market relevance, and customer experience through strategic airline partnerships.
A core component of the role is the ability to translate complex airline performance data, market trends, and commercial agreements into clear strategic narratives that influence internal stakeholders, airline partners, and clients. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen, deep airline industry knowledge, and the ability to drive data-led storytelling that shapes supplier strategy and joint growth initiatives.
This role also represents the organisation externally as a visible industry leader, engaging with airline partners, customers, and industry stakeholders at major events, advisory boards, and forums while maintaining a strong understanding of airline product evolution, distribution technology, and innovation across global markets.
Responsibilities
- 10+ years of experience in the airline, travel, or aviation distribution industry
- Deep understanding of global airline commercial models and corporate travel distribution
- Established relationships with major international carriers
- Develop and execute the organisation’s ANZ airline partnership strategy across major international markets.
- Identify and prioritise strategic airline partners based on network strength, customer relevance, and commercial opportunity.
- Lead the development of airline engagement frameworks aligned with the organisation’s growth strategy and regional market dynamics.
- Own executive-level relationships on behalf of the ANZ region with key airline partners.
Knowledge & Skills - An in-depth knowledge of airline partnerships, contracting, negotiations, and incentive structures.
- Deep expertise of override payments, tiers, and airline incentive frameworks.
- Strong understanding of the Australian aviation market, including airlines, alliances, schedules, routings, networks, and aircraft configurations.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex challenges.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- A collaborative team player with a commitment to fostering a supportive work environment.
- The ability to present and speak publicly as an airline subject matter expert.
