Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland is a child-safe organisation committed to ensuring every child feels safe, valued, and supported to learn and grow. We provide high-quality care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, from Ingham in the north to Proserpine in the south, Mount Isa in the west, and Palm Island to the east. Our services have expanded to include 6 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens, and 14 Outside School Hours Care centres.

About the position
Good Shepherd OSHC in Rasmussen is seeking a passionate and dedicated Assistant Coordinator to join our close-knit team. Located at Good Shepherd Catholic School, our service provides high-quality before and after school care, along with vacation care for local families.

This position is offered as a permanent part-time or full-time role (30–38 hours per week) and flexible work patterns can be considered to support both the operational requirements of the service and your individual needs.

In this leadership role, you will work closely with the Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of the service, lead engaging programs, and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and child-led environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced educator ready to step into a leadership position and make a meaningful impact.

What We’re Looking For:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or working towards) or equivalent (Education Support, studying Bachelor of Education or similar qualifications approved under ACECQA)
• A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Current First Aid Certificate including CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training, or willingness to obtain these certifications
• Understanding and knowledge of National Quality Framework
• Ability to pass a national criminal history check
• Ability to learn new systems and child care management software
