Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland is dedicated to delivering exceptional care to families across the Diocese of Townsville, spanning from Ingham in the North to Proserpine in the South, Mount Isa in the West, and Palm Island to the East. We have grown to include 6 Early Learning Centres, 9 Kindergartens and 14 Outside School Hours Care centres.

About the position
Mary MacKillop Childcare North Queensland is seeking passionate and dedicated Assistant Coordinators to join our welcoming Outside School Hours Care teams at Burdell, Mundingburra and Rasmussen.

Our services provide high-quality before and after school care, as well as vacation care, supporting local children and families in a fun, engaging, and nurturing environment.

This opportunity is available as a permanent part-time or full-time position, offering 30–38 hours per week.
As an Assistant Coordinator, you will work closely with the Coordinator to:

• Support the day-to-day operations of the service
• Lead engaging, child-centred programs that encourage creativity, learning, and connection
• Build positive relationships with children, families, schools, and educators
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all
• Support and mentor educators to deliver high-quality care and experiences

What We’re Looking For:

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or working towards) or equivalent (Education Support, studying Bachelor of Education or similar qualifications approved under ACECQA)
• A current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Current First Aid Certificate including CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training, or willingness to obtain these certifications
