About the team
Our Sydney Dispute Resolution & Litigation team deals with a vast range of disputes for clients across a variety of industry sectors including government, property, media and technology. These clients include national and international clients, listed companies, SME's, government departments, large property developers, private companies and individuals.
About the role
Our Sydney office is seeking a dispute resolution and litigation lawyer with 5-6 years post admission experience who is passionate about advancing their career as a disputes lawyer within our firm.
Within this role you will work with partners and senior lawyers who specialise in commercial, corporate, property, regulatory and insolvency disputes for clients in both the private and public sector.
The work on offer is across a wide spectrum and will include:
- Commercial and contractual disputes;
- Corporate disputes;
- Corporate Insolvency law;
- Regulatory disputes;
- Public and Administrative law;
- Commercial, industrial and retail lease disputes, including make good disputes; and
Disputes arising out of sale and acquisition of land
About you As mentioned you will have at least 5-6 years post admission experience where you have gained exposure to a range of dispute resolution and litigation matters for both private and public sector clients.
You will be proficient in running matters and dealing directly with clients as well as having experience in appearance work and a desire to continue with this.
You will also possess the following skills:
- Significant experience in drafting evidence and pleadings;
- Analytical and problem solving skills;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- A strong desire to work as a collaborative member of a team, including mentoring of less experienced lawyers in the practice;
- Comfortable working closely with clients and in managing disputes;
- Adept at managing multiple matters and prioritising effectively;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Self-driven with a strong ability to meet deadlines.
