About the team
Our national property group is recognised as one of Australia’s leading practices, advising on complex and high-value real estate matters across a broad range of sectors.
We have an opportunity for an experienced lawyer (2–5 years’ PAE) to join our Brisbane property team, working alongside partner Darren Anderson. Darren’s practice spans a diverse range of matters, including:
- Large-scale property and business transactions
- Commercial, industrial and retail leasing
- Title and structured development, including mixed-use and community title projects
- Liquor licensing and gaming
- Rural acquisitions and disposals
The team also regularly advises on a range of general property matters, including easements, strata and community title issues, land access arrangements and complex title structuring.
Darren has been listed in The Best Lawyers in Australia since 2022 for Real Property Law and since 2023 for Leasing Law. He has also been recognised in the 2024, 2025 and 2026 editions of Doyle’s Guide as a Recommended Lawyer in Property & Real Estate Law for Queensland.

About the role Working closely with Darren, you will join a motivated and supportive commercial property team assisting on a broad mix of high-quality work.
This is a varied role encompassing capital transactions, development work and leasing, acting for clients across sectors including health, tourism, rural, commercial, industrial and retail.
You will be involved in matters such as:
- Advising on acquisitions, disposals and large-scale development projects
- Negotiating and drafting commercial and retail leases
- Supporting structured developments, including mixed-use and community title schemes
- Providing advice on easements, rights of way and access arrangements
- Assisting on strata and community title issues, including establishment and ongoing management considerations
- Advising on due diligence, title structuring and land use matters

About you You will bring experience across a broad range of commercial property matters, including:
- Property and business transactions, including due diligence, acquisitions and disposals
- Commercial, industrial and/or retail leasing
- Development work, including community title or mixed-use projects
- General property advisory work, such as easements, title issues and strata matters (or a strong interest in developing this experience)
You will also have:
- Experience working directly with clients and managing files autonomously and efficiently
- Strong drafting skills across a range of property documents, including leases and transaction documents
- A track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships
- A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in developing your expertise in commercial property
