About the Team

The Sydney office of our property practice consists of 6 partners and over 25 staff members. This busy team works with clients on a range of property matters.
About the Role
Our Sydney team is currently seeking a career legal assistant.
Work that you would undertake will include:
- Printing, scanning, copying and arranging mail
- Booking meeting rooms for the team
- File organisation and management
- Arranging bank guarantee swaps
- Arranging for original documents to be put in and taken out of safe custody
- Preparation of bills and dealing with billing queries from clients
- Assisting with processing of expenses claims
- Opening and closing files (including archiving)
- Ordering general property and ASIC searches
- Drafting distribution letters
- Arranging document execution, including setting up Docusign envelopes
- Liaising with office services staff including IT, mailroom and catering
The role is supporting a busy and high performing team and therefore the role requires someone with excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
About You We are seeking a candidate upwards of 3 years’ experience with the following attributes:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Experience with end of month billing (Aderant experience will be highly regarded)
- Able to communicate in a professional manner with clients and colleagues
- Able to autonomously complete administrative tasks
- Develops good working relationships
- Excellent literacy
- Strong attention to detail
- Is organised and plans and prioritises work to meet deadlines
- Possesses a strong work ethic and enthusiasm for their work and uses their initiative
- Experience supporting a property team would be highly regarded
- Uses discretion and deals with sensitive information appropriately
Experience with PEXA is not essential but would be considered advantageous
