THE GIG
You’ll own the direction of Paid Media across a killer team and a portfolio that’s honestly hard to beat. Leading your crew, shaping strategy end to end and being the senior paid voice across a dreamy lineup of brands.
Reporting into the Head of Product and working closely with Exec Leadership, there’s real visibility and real influence. The kind where your voice actually carries real weight.
Day to day, this looks like:
- Owning paid strategy across a high-value portfolio
- Leading annual and quarterly planning tied to outcomes
- Being the trusted voice in the room. Clear, confident, respected
- Overseeing performance, output and delivery
- Expanding beyond Search and Social into proper channel thinking
- Partnering closely with Client Service to create work that actually connects
- Spotting growth opps early and moving on it before anyone else does
- Playing a key role in pitches, proposals and winning the good stuff
And yes… the AI piece matters.
Think leading how AI shows up across strategy and delivery, building smarter and more scalable ways of working, and lifting how the team approaches performance.
This is where you move from leading accounts to shaping direction. Proper Paid Media leadership.
THE SETUP
Two roles. Two teams. One cohesive paid function.
You’ll lead a team of 4 and growing, with a portfolio sitting around $8-10M in media spend, working alongside another Paid Media Account Director to lift the standard across the department.
Serious scale. Real complexity. Clients who expect you to bring it. And they’ll notice when you do.
You’ll be leading performance, growth and development across your team, coaching and mentoring to lift capability, and setting the standard where good work becomes seriously great work.
You’ll be backed by strong leadership, but trusted to run your lane, back yourself and make it count.
WHAT YOU’RE WALKING INTO

You’re already operating at Director level or right there, ready for a step up.
You’ve come up through paid, so you get the detail and can still roll your sleeves up when needed, but your real value now is how you think, lead and connect the dots.
You’ll likely bring:
- 7+ years in performance marketing with leadership exposure
- Strong capability across Search and Social with broader channel thinking
- Experience with large-scale clients and meaningful budgets
- Confidence leading senior client conversations
- A track record of building and lifting teams
- Strong commercial instincts
- Comfort balancing strategy, oversight and leadership
- Curiosity around AI and how it elevates the work
