We're recruiting for a Shift Engineer to join a leading Building Services provider at Gatwick Airport. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Shift Engineer looking for a rare day-shift only position at a high-profile and unique site.
 
You'll support the maintenance and smooth running of a major airline's offices, engineering areas, and aircraft hangars. The Shift Engineer will play a key role in ensuring all building services and critical systems remain safe, compliant, and operational.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) across electrical and mechanical systems
• Respond to reactive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and disruption
• Fault-finding and diagnostics on a range of building services plant
• Support the operation and upkeep of systems such as:
  • AHUs and FCUs
  • Boilers and heating plant
  • Chillers and cooling systems
  • Pumps, motors, and valves
  • HVAC controls and BMS systems
  • Lighting, small power, and general electrical distribution
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and statutory requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and maintenance records
• Work closely with the on-site engineering team to deliver a high-quality service

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Strong background in building services maintenance
• Experience supporting PPM and reactive maintenance in commercial or industrial environments
• Confident fault-finding skills and the ability to work independently as a Shift Engineer
