Technical Services Manager

£75,000 + 10% Performance Bonus


Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Technical Services Manager to lead a team of 8 Shift Engineers at a prestigious and high-profile corporate site in Central London. This is a static position with no travel required, offering the opportunity to work on one of the most well-regarded portfolios in the facilities management sector.
 
This role is ideal for someone with a strong Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) background, leadership experience, and a keen eye for detail, presentation, and performance at the highest standards.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of 8 Shift Engineers, ensuring excellence in service delivery, appearance, and professionalism.
• Oversee all critical systems, including monitoring of operational parameters and set points.
• Review and audit engineering works completed by both your team and peers to ensure compliance and quality.
• Provide Safe Operational Programme (SOP) documentation and act as Principal Incident Manager out of hours.
• Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Deliver performance reviews and regular appraisals for all direct reports.
• Promote a culture of professionalism in line with organisational standards on dress code, attitude, pride, self-respect, and teamwork.
• Monitor and enforce Health & Safety (H&S) policies, including risk assessment reviews and compliance audits.
• Report directly into the Contract Manager, supporting them in the successful running of this high-profile contract.

Requirements:

• M&E leadership experience, preferably in a critical or high-security environment (e.g., banking or financial services).
• Recognised M&E qualifications (electrical bias preferred).
• Experience in managing multi-disciplinary engineering teams in a client-facing environment.
• Strong understanding of critical systems and escalation processes.
• HV Authorised Person (HVAP) - Preferable
