We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter (HD Fitter) for an upcoming opportunity working a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster.
With an ASAP start and a competitive hourly rate, this position is ideal for a trade-qualified HD Fitter with strong experience maintaining and repairing heavy mobile equipment within mining, civil or heavy industry.

The Role As an HD Fitter, you'll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing and repairing heavy mobile equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Planned and preventative maintenance
- Breakdown repairs and fault finding
- Servicing heavy mobile plant and equipment
- Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and associated equipment faults
- Repairing and replacing components as required
- Inspecting equipment and identifying maintenance requirements
- Completing component change-outs
- Supporting equipment reliability and minimising downtime
- Completing relevant maintenance documentation
- Working closely with operators and other maintenance personnel
- Maintaining a high standard of safety and workmanship
What We're Looking For To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel / Mobile Plant trade qualification
- Previous experience as an HD Fitter
- Strong heavy mobile plant maintenance experience
- Previous mining, civil, earthmoving or heavy industry experience highly regarded
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilities
- Good mechanical and hydraulic knowledge
- Experience completing preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a maintenance team
- Ability to complete relevant pre-employment and mobilisation requirements
- Full Australian working rights
- Availability to work a 2:1 roster
- Availability to commence ASAP
Relevant High Risk Work Licences, site tickets and current VOCs will be highly regarded where applicable.
About You You're an experienced HD Fitter who is confident maintaining and repairing heavy equipment in a demanding site environment.
You're safety-focused, reliable and capable of diagnosing faults and getting equipment back into operation efficiently without compromising the quality of your work.
