About the role
Our client Pantry D'or is a well-regarded boutique bakery based in Rotorua, known for crafting high-quality baked goods using premium ingredients. With a focus on creativity, quality, and genuine passion for the craft, Pantry D'or has built a loyal following and a reputation for excellence in everything they produce.
They are now seeking an experienced Baker to join their talented team. Reporting to the Head Chef, this is a hands-on production role covering the full range of bakery output; from pastries, breads, cakes, and desserts through to food safety compliance, stock management, and contributing to menu and product development.
Key responsibilities
- Production of a daily range of baked goods to the highest quality and presentation standards
- Food safety and hygiene compliance, including adherence to the Food Act 2014
- Stock and waste management
- Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment
- Contributing creative ideas to menu and product development
About you
No formal qualifications are required; Pantry D'or values hands-on experience and a genuine passion for baking above all else. To be successful, you will have a minimum of three years' experience in a professional baking or kitchen production role, with demonstrated proficiency across pastry, bread, and dessert production. You will have a sound knowledge of food safety principles and the Food Act 2014, strong time management skills, and the ability to follow and execute recipes accurately. Above all, you will be reliable, collaborative, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality results every day.
