THE OPPORTUNITIES:
We are a specialist construction recruitment firm partnering with several respected commercial building contractors in Adelaide. Due to continued project wins and strong forward pipelines, we are now seeking experienced Construction Safety professionals to support multiple live and upcoming commercial projects.
The primary opportunity is on a major education sector project in Adelaide, with additional opportunities available across high-rise, industrial, health, and complex build environments. These roles offer strong career progression, long-term stability, and the chance to work with builders delivering landmark projects.
YOUR NEW ROLE:
As a Safety Advisor / SQE Supervisor / HSEQ Coordinator, you will work closely with Site and Project Management teams to ensure a safe, compliant and high-performing worksite. You will be highly visible on-site and act as a trusted safety leader across the project.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Driving a positive, proactive safety culture across site
- Monitoring and enforcing WHS compliance and legislative requirements
- Conducting hazard identification, risk assessments and safety audits
- Running site inductions and managing permits, SWMS and contractor compliance
- Coordinating incident response, investigations and corrective actions
- Maintaining accurate safety documentation and reporting
- Supporting quality and environmental compliance where required
- Delivering toolbox talks and site-based training programs
ARE YOU THE RIGHT FIT? You will be an experienced construction safety professional who thrives in a fast-paced project environment and can build strong, practical working relationships across site teams.
You will have:
- 3+ years' experience in a construction safety role (commercial preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and codes of practice
- Proven experience operating on active commercial construction sites (education, high-rise or complex projects highly regarded)
- The ability to influence positive safety behaviours through leadership and visibility on site
- Confidence communicating with subcontractors, site teams and senior leadership
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
- Current Occupational / Senior First Aid certification
