Our client is a specialised neurology practice providing patient-centred care within a professional clinical environment. The opportunity
 
The EEG Technician will be responsible for performing electroencephalography studies and supporting the delivery of high-quality neurodiagnostic services. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong technical ability and a commitment to patient care within a specialised clinical setting.
 
Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and specialised EEG recordings, including prolonged and overnight studies
• Prepare patients for procedures and ensure their comfort throughout testing
• Monitor and record brain activity accurately using EEG equipment
• Identify and report abnormalities for clinical interpretation
• Maintain accurate records and assist with report preparation
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of EEG equipment
• Adhere to clinical protocols, safety standards and confidentiality requirements
• Assist with administrative duties related to neurophysiology services
• Collaborate with neurologists and multidisciplinary teams

Requirements:

• Qualified EEG Technician registered with HPCSA
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience in EEG recording advantageous
• Strong understanding of EEG procedures and equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and observational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• High level of professionalism and patient confidentiality
• Willingness to work standard hours and after hours when required
