We are a medical recruitment agency growing across Australia and New Zealand, and our newest opportunity available is for a Radiologist to be based in various locations across New Zealand.
The client
Our client is a leading public hospital service delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging across multiple sites. You’ll join a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with strong clinical governance and a focus on patient-centred care.
The opportunity
Work across general radiology with scope to practice in sub-specialty areas depending on service needs and your interests (e.g., CT, MRI, ultrasound, basic interventional procedures). You’ll contribute to acute and elective imaging, participate in a rostered on-call service, and have opportunities for teaching, quality improvement and service development.
Key responsibilities
- Reporting across core modalities (XR/CT/MRI/US) to a high clinical standard
- Performing image-guided procedures within your scope of practice
- Providing timely advice to referrers and participating in MDT meetings
- Supervising and supporting registrars/trainees and working closely with MITs/sonographers
- Contributing to audit, clinical governance, and continuous service improvement
- Participating in an equitable after-hours/on-call roster
Requirements - Medical degree and specialist qualification in Diagnostic & Interventional Radiology (e.g., FRANZCR or equivalent)
- Eligibility for Vocational or Provisional Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Recent practice across core modalities; sub-specialty interests welcomed
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team approach
