The Client
Our client is a leading and trusted NDIS provider based in Sydney. They specialize in matching 1:1 support workers with clients, providing assistance in the home or community. They are a compassionate and innovative provider of disability services dedicated to supporting individuals through tailored care that promotes independence, social inclusion, and quality of life. Their programs are designed to promote independence, social skills, and everyday living skills, tailored to meet individual needs and goals.
The Opportunity
As a Junior/Intermediate Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality therapy services to clients of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults. Working alongside a dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will provide care that fosters growth, independence, and social participation. This position offers opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and hands-on experience across diverse client needs in the disability sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client goals and develop personalized therapy plans.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services in clinic, home, community, and Telehealth settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a coordinated approach to client care.
- Educate clients, families, and carers on strategies to enhance independence and participation.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with NDIS and organizational standards.
- Support Senior Therapists in developing and implementing group therapy programs.
- Participate in regular supervision and professional development activities to build clinical skills and expertise.
- Demonstrate a commitment to evidence-based practices and continuous learning.
Requirements - Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA.
- Willingness to work in the disability sector, with a passion for making a difference in clients’ lives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid NSW driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- NDIS Worker Check, National Police Check, and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
