Head Chef - Hands-On Leadership Role
Location: Hoar Cross Hall, Staffordshire Salary: £48,667.50 per annum Contract Type: Permanent Working Hours: 45 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (including evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays)
About the role
Hunters 4 Staff are recruiting an experienced Head Chef for a prestigious hospitality venue at Hoar Cross Hall. This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for a chef who enjoys being on the pass, leading by example and running a well-organised kitchen.
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, maintaining high food standards, supporting menu development and creating a positive, motivated team environment. Quality, consistency and teamwork are at the heart of this role.
Key responsibilities
Lead from the front, cooking and plating to a consistently high standard
Oversee the daily running of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient service
Train, mentor and develop chefs and kitchen staff
Support menu development using fresh, seasonal and local ingredients
Manage stock, control costs and minimise waste
Ensure all food safety, hygiene, HACCP and health & safety standards are met
What we're looking for
Proven experience in a Head Chef or senior kitchen leadership role
A hands-on approach with strong leadership skills
Passion for fresh, seasonal food and attention to detail
Calm, organised and confident under pressure
Good knowledge of HACCP, COSHH and food safety regulations
