Hygiene Manager – Coventry (CV3)
Up to £50,000 | Permanent | 44 hours per week
Hunters 4 Staff are working with a well-established food manufacturing site in Coventry (Guenther Bakeries) to find an experienced Hygiene Manager. This is a permanent role offering stability, a supportive team environment, and the chance to take real ownership of hygiene standards on site.
The role
You’ll lead the hygiene function on site, keeping daily operations running smoothly while making sure all cleaning, safety and compliance standards are met. This is a hands-on role where you’ll support your team, keep standards high and deal with challenges as they come up.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of the hygiene team, including training, support and supervision
- Make sure all cleaning tasks meet agreed standards through regular checks and audits
- Handle any client queries or complaints in a professional, practical way
- Ensure safe working practices including PPE use, chemical handling and lock-off procedures
- Plan staffing and workloads to meet operational needs while staying on budget
- Complete documentation, investigations and return-to-work processes in line with procedures
What we’re looking for
- Experience in a hygiene management or supervisory role, ideally within food manufacturing
- Good understanding of Health & Safety, including chemicals and machinery safety
- Confident leading a team and communicating clearly with different stakeholders
- Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage changing priorities
- Someone who takes pride in standards and builds a positive team culture
