Materials Planner
Location: Uttoxeter - JCB World Parts Centre Pay: £18.46 per hour Contract: Long‑term
Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 8:30am-5:00pm
Friday: 8:30am-4:00pm
Hunters 4 Staff are looking for an experienced Materials Planner to join the team at the JCB World Parts Centre in Uttoxeter. This is a long‑term agency role in a fast‑moving environment where keeping parts flowing is key. You'll be working with a well‑known global brand, helping to keep their aftermarket operation running smoothly.
What you'll be doing
Making sure aftermarket parts are always available by planning and expediting materials.
Monitoring and controlling stock levels to avoid shortages, excess, and waste.
Setting and reviewing planning parameters such as safety stock, MOQs, and lead times.
Raising and managing purchase requisitions based on forecasts and demand.
Working closely with Purchasing, Production, Warehousing, and Sales to keep everything aligned.
Tracking supplier performance and helping to resolve any supply issues.
Keeping ERP data accurate and up to date.
What we're looking for
Proven experience in materials planning or inventory control within a similar industry
Strong communication skills and a calm approach under pressure.
Confident with Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and general PC work.
Organised, analytical, and able to solve problems quickly.
Comfortable working to tight deadlines.
